Stony Point Farm is about providing a place for children and adults who haven't had many apportunities to have been emursed in nature or to have experinced horses in particular.

LET'S GO!
I have an extensive background with horses including all aspects of farm management, lay-ups, showing, training problem horses, retraining off-track thoroughbreds for show horses, and instructing students of all levels from beginner through local horse showing. I am an RN, and currently working , but nearing retirement, and preparing for my future.
I believe it is my calling from God, to form a program for children, and adults who haven't had exposure to nature and horses, in particular, and offer them an opportunity to build self-confidence, physical, psychological, and emotional strength through forming a trusting relationship, (that only the horses can teach), through patience, love, and understanding with one of God's most regal creatures; a fabulous horse!
They will learn many life skills, make new friends, and build new relationships through their exposure to like-minded people who recognize and appreciate the growth and progress of the horse/human bond. Their ability to form a connection with a horse will have far reaching effects. It will open their eyes, and their hearts, and change their perspective, forever... as they have done for me.
I've reviewed many programs, but I'm very impressed with how your program incorporates the help and guidance of so many professionals, that may not have the time, access, or finances to reach out to these people, themselves.
It is my hope, that you may share the model for your program with me, as well as any changes that you would have made, in hind sight, so that I may help those in Southeastern PA benefit in an organized way, to expand their horizons.
